Obnoxious Children
This week in Orlando, parents were unable to control their 3-year-old daughter and were removed from a flight home. The flight attendants asked the parents to get the child seated and belted so the plane could take off. After a 15 minute flight delay while the child climbed around and refused to be still, the family was removed from the plane.
I’m glad to see an airline actually taking a stance when children can’t be controlled. This incident reminds me of a five hour “red-eye” flight during which a young girl screamed at the top of her lungs for all but the last 15 or so minutes of the flight.
The flight, which began at midnight, should have been a “sleeping” flight. Unfortunately, the out of control child, who also spent most of the time jumping up and down in her seat, made sleep impossible. The parents wouldn’t stop her, the flight attendants couldn’t stop her, and the passengers just wished something awful would happen to her.
