My January issue of W arrived a couple days ago and I have to comment on some of the “fashion” that’s inside. For now, I think a close look at photos from the Whitney Museum’s fall gala are in order. Specifically, some of the worst examples of following fashion trends by people who really should know better.

On page 71, Karen Elson in Yves Saint Laurent, Mischa Barton in Bebe, and Donatella Versace in Versace are all examples (in my opinion, of course) of what not to wear outside of your home. On the same page, Rachel Zoe looks incredibly feminine in a beautiful dress by Valentino.

Apparently a few designers have decided that monstrously big butts are “in” this Spring: page 95, Jean Paul Gaultier; page 105, Alexander McQueen; page 109, Dolce & Gabbana. Mischa Barton was sporting the “big butt” look on page 71.

If I wasn’t getting such a laugh each issue, I’d probably opt for not renewing my subscription to W when it runs out.
